FUZZ WORKS 7

Inspired by the ZVEX Effects Fuzz Factory 7, the Fuzz Works 7 is a unique pedal with impressive, innovative features for fuzz enthusiasts.

OVERVIEW:

The Fuzz Works 7 features a 9-position rotary knob, expanding the tonal possibilities of the pedal with an impressive range of low-end sounds as well as dry, reedy fuzz tones. It works equally well with both guitar and bass signals, delivering a versatile and powerful response.

Additionally, the pedal has a second footswitch and an associated tone control. This passive tone control works similarly to the tone knob on a guitar, allowing you to roll off the high-end of the fuzz sound when the second footswitch is engaged, softening the tone as desired.

The Fuzz Works 7’s controls are arranged in a circular layout under a Lexan window, revealing two rare germanium transistors, each hand-tested to ensure the perfect gain and minimal leakage. These vintage transistors, responsible for the pedal’s unique and magnificent sound, are illuminated by LEDs when the pedal is engaged.

MAIN CONTROLS:

  • STAB: Adjusts fuzz stability. The Fuzz Works 7’s six main knobs are labeled according to the parameters they most directly affect, each modifying different operational levels and bias, allowing you to craft a custom fuzz sound.

  • COMP: Controls attack characteristics. When turned left, it produces a sharper, more aggressive sound; turning it to the right softens the attack and gives a “pinched” tone at extreme settings. This control is excellent for dialing in a fat, feedback-laden fuzz tone. Lower the Stability knob to explore further interaction with COMP.

  • DRIVE: Increases distortion when used as a “normal” fuzz, adjusting feedback tone and thickness. Note that this control has no effect if COMP is turned all the way up.
